For a world with more rules every year

The regulations that apply to your business — every obligation, made clear.
Evidence of the steps you took.

Statutory Obligation Governance · England & EU · Launching 2026

GovProtocol maps obligations from official sources and turns them into a structured evidence record — documents, dates, references and dated attestations — for your property, business, charity, practice, or regulated file.

The platform guides and records. You decide. Advisers can review.

When a case needs an adviser, they review an organised record — not (re)construct one from scratch.

Read for free. Record when ready.

Every obligation page is free to read — nothing a regulated person needs to know sits behind a login. The workspace, where your evidence record lives, is the optional paid upgrade.

Obligation maps from official sources, in plain English
No account, no paywall, no time limit
Statutory source citations and a named review date on every page
The workspace keeps your dated, structured evidence record

GovProtocol content is published for reading; it remains our property and reading it is not a licence to copy or republish it.

How GovProtocol works
01 · The resource
Free to read
GovProtocol Ltd publishes the obligation maps as a free reference — statutory information from official sources, organised and restated in plain English. Free to read, no account needed. No liability is accepted for the reference content.
02 · The workspace
The paid tools are operated separately
The evidence workspace, drafting, and storage are a separate, paid product, operated under licence by a dedicated software operator that holds the customer relationship and the contract — not by GovProtocol Ltd. Launching in 2026.
03 · Your choice
Upgrade only if and when it helps
Reading the reference costs nothing and needs no account. The workspace is an optional, separate product for those who want to keep a governed evidence record. You stay in control of every entry.
Prices shown on this page are indicative plans for the workspace, which is launching in 2026 and will be operated separately under licence. GovProtocol Ltd owns and publishes the reference; it does not sell the workspace, take payment, or accept liability for it.

What are you responsible for?

Most regulated entities do not have a clear, organised view of the obligations that may apply to them. Select what you do and we will show you the mapped obligations, the source basis, and what can happen if the evidence is not there when it is needed.

How it works

Two ways to build your evidence file.
One platform.

Every GovProtocol tier gives you the same obligation map, the same plain English guidance, and the same Evidence Passport structure. What changes is how much of the work the platform does for you.

Free & Core tiers
You keep the file.
We govern the structure.
Free → £29 / yr

Your documents live in a folder you control: a lever arch file on your desk or a folder on your computer. GovProtocol tells you what the record requires, gives every document a reference number, and records what you have and when you got it. If anyone ever asks to see the record, you open the folder.

1
The platform sets out what the source material requires, in plain English, with the consequence of not having it.
2
You get the document from the relevant authority, engineer, or supplier: gas certificate, EICR, privacy notice, whatever applies.
3
You save it in your folder named with the reference code the platform gave you. GSC-001. EICR-002. PRIV-001.
4
You log the date and confirm in the app. The platform records your attestation with your name and the date.
5
Export your Evidence Passport : a clean structured PDF showing your logged obligations, their status, and the reference to where the evidence sits in your folder.
Ideal for landlords, sole traders, small charities, and anyone who wants to know their obligations and keep a proper record without paying for professional help to do it.
Foundation & Complete tiers
We help draft and store.
You review and approve.
£99 → £299 / yr

The platform does not just tell you what is needed. It helps you produce a structured draft. Answer questions about your business in plain English. Speak your account of what happened into the microphone. The platform prepares a draft. You read it, correct anything that is wrong, and approve it. Your approval is what makes it the official record. Not the platform. You. For complex processing activities, have a qualified adviser review before relying on any document.

1
Platform asks you plain-English questions about your business: what data you collect, why, who you share it with. No legal jargon.
2
The platform structures a draft record from your answers: proposed ROPA entries, privacy notice requirements to address, and considerations for your review. A starting point, not a final determination.
3
When an incident occurs, a data breach, a DSAR, a complaint, you describe what happened in plain language. The platform structures it into the required document format.
4
You review every field before approving. Your approval is the attestation. The platform prepares the draft. You are the author of record.
5
A DSAR response that would take hours working from a blank page can be significantly reduced with guided AI structuring and a starting draft to review and approve.
Ideal for businesses that process personal data, regulated professionals, HR managers, compliance officers: anyone who currently pays professional fees to produce documents the law requires on a recurring basis.
Foundation & Complete · sensitive records
Zero-retention mode for sensitive records

For GDPR and other sensitive verticals, the workspace can register a document’s integrity without persistently storing the document itself.

01 · Validate
The document is processed transiently by a zero-retention service to validate it, and no copy is kept by the workspace.
02 · Fingerprint
A fingerprint (hash), date, reference, and your attestation are recorded — supporting later verification that the file presented is the one registered.
03 · Keep local
The original file stays in your custody — stored by you, or automatically in a folder assigned to the app.
04 · Show safely
A stylised record stands in for the document, showing it is validated while keeping the sensitive content out of view.
Integrity you can evidence, with minimal data held — the original stays in your custody.
In both cases the compliance determination is always yours. The platform explains, records, and assists. It never determines whether you are compliant. That determination belongs to you.
Indicative pricing — the workspace launches in 2026. The workspace and practitioner plans below will be sold and operated separately under licence from GovProtocol Ltd, which publishes the free reference and is not the seller of these plans. Join the waitlist to be notified at launch.
Individual & Business

One entity. Key obligations that may apply to you.

All individual tiers cover one entity — one property, one business, one regulated file. Record-keeping verticals start at Core (£29). Verticals that need assisted drafting and document storage start at Foundation (£99). Complete (£299) covers every vertical for one entity.

For professionals

Your clients are already reading this.
Be the local name on the page.

GovProtocol is building the most thorough free reference for statutory obligations in the UK and EU — the pages your clients search before they ask for help. As the reference network grows, a practitioner licence can place your firm on the pages matching your vertical and region, equip each client with a branded evidence file, and pay a share when they upgrade. A way to be the local name at the point of need — not a sponsored advert.

When someone in your area searches a compliance question, you can be the professional on the page.

The reference network is being built to thousands of obligation pages, geo-located by region and regulated area. From Growth tier, your firm can be listed across the pages that match your specialism and your patch — placed where a reader is already asking whether they need help, not interrupting them with advertising. Investing in the free dissemination of obligation information is itself the signal to clients that you take their compliance seriously.

Visibility
Listed across the pages your clients are searching

Your firm is placed on public reference pages for your regulated area and local geography — potentially hundreds of pages across your patch — as the relevant professional at the moment a reader is asking whether they need help. It is part of the licence, not a separate ad buy. Directory placement is included from Growth tier and above.

Distribution
A branded evidence file for every client

Each client receives a personalised Evidence Passport workspace, co-branded with your firm name, mapped to their obligations, and linked back to you as the activating practitioner. The PDF reference summary, any printed reference material, the QR code on each page, and the workspace itself all carry your brand.

Your name on every output · your code on every referral
Economics
Core at wholesale. Commission on upgrades.

A Growth licence at £999/year includes 100 client Core workspaces — about £10 per client against the £29 direct price, a bulk rate roughly a third of retail. Core is included for your clients as part of the licence. You then earn 25% commission when a client upgrades beyond Core to Foundation or Complete. If 20 clients upgrade to Foundation at £99, that is £495 in year one — and it recurs on every renewal.

Who the practitioner channel is built for
  • Accountants and DPOs: give every business client a GDPR evidence file. They log their own records. You have read-only access to review the file before any ICO contact.
  • HR consultants: equip employer clients with an employment onboarding evidence record. Day one obligations are documented before the first tribunal risk arises.
  • Solicitors and regulated professionals: AML, SRA compliance, and client file governance in one place. Every CDD record, risk assessment, and matter decision is governed from the point it is made.
  • Food safety advisers: give clients a structured HACCP evidence file. The EHO visit finds a ready record, not a panicked search through folders.
  • Letting agents: distribute landlord obligation passports across your managed properties. Each landlord in your portfolio gets a governed evidence file. You have the oversight dashboard.
